Cool. One of my favorite stories, two of my favorite writers (Minear and Heinlein). I hope he sells it for big bux!

I read the book for the first time in 1967 and was impressed by Heinlien’s take on both politics, social issues and the nature of self.
A brief read of the first few pages of Tim’s script gives me hope that it would be a great film.
However, in the current mood of your country, it would be a hard sell to any production company.
It’s too good and may give some people ideas.
I’d suggest Joss Whedon as the director.

[...] It’s surprisingly faithful to the source material, and the places where it does differ are at once shocking and highly (in one instance devastatingly) effective. But don’t take my word for it! A copy of the script has found its way online as a .pdf! So instead of reading this post, you should go read Tim Minear’s “The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress” Script [...]

Read the first bit…OUT-STANDING. as a Heinlein fan, am officially asking permission to cross-post on http://www.Heinleinsociety.org
Also, would LOVE to see this made into a movie. But if Paul VerHoeven gets anywhere near it, I’ll chop off MY left arm and beat him to death with it.
